The following list includes ten bustling careers that will continue to have strong demand and salary prospects in 2024. Positions in tech and data fields are on the rise, but tried and true positions in healthcare and project management will still require qualified candidates. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects the growth rate across a ten year span (2022-2032) for each of the positions listed.

Data Analysts and Data Scientists  

Data scientists and analysts collect, disaggregate and analyze data in order to come to useful conclusions for an organization. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the job outlook for data scientists to be promising with a projected growth rate of 35% across 2022 to 2032. 

Nurse Practitioners (also RNs and PAs)

LinkedIn lists doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare administrators as a few of the best career fields for 2024. The BLS projected growth rate for Nurse Practitioners is 45%, Physicians Assistants 27% and RNs 6%.

Information Security Analysts/Cybersecurity

Data breaches and cyber threats demonstrate the need for cybersecurity experts and information security analysts. The expected growth rate of this field is 32%.

Renewable Energy Specialists

LinkedIn states that the growth of online shopping and digital marketing means that professionals who have expertise around how to monetize the digital landscape will continue to be in demand in 2024. Market research analysts positions are expected to grow 13% from 2022 to 2032.
