So you think your future is in health careers! If you are interested in areas like Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Occupational Safety and Health, consider this summer internship in Atlanta.

Project Imhotep is an 11-week summer internship program that begins with 2 weeks of intense educational training in public health courses such as Public Health & Health Disparities, Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Scientific Writing.

The purpose of this training is to equip students early with the academic information necessary to complete the in the summer internship program.

During the following 9 weeks, interns are paired in a one-on-one mentoring relationship with experts at CDC, academic institutions, local and state agencies, or community based organizations. The goal is to complete a public health research project.

Snapshot of Requirements for this Summer Internship:

- Junior, senior, or recent graduate (within 1 year of graduation)

- Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher

- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident

- Must not have participated in any other CDC undergrad Public Health Scholars Program
