HBCU Alum Dr. Juan Chisholm Wants You to Graduate Debt Free
Dr. Juan Chisholm, an FAMU alum, is the author of three financial books. His most recent, Mission Possible: How to Graduate from College Debt-Free, was named a finalist for the International Book Awards in the "Young Adult: Non-Fiction" category. The International Book Awards (IBA) is a large international award program for mainstream, independent and self-published titles.
The book dives into Chisholm's extensive journey to being debt free while an undergrad at Florida State University.
In the book, he shares strategies that help students graduate debt-free, including scholarship information and advice about entrepreneurial activities that students can do before and while in school like editing papers, graphic design and repairing electronics.
Chisholm's Graduate Debt Free Club is based on his book Mission Possible. The goal of the club is to share practical strategies that parents, middle school, high school, and college students can implement today to find scholarships and other opportunities that cover the cost of college.
Through the Graduate Debt Free Club, Chisholm offers live and recorded online classes as well as one-on-one coaching to help potential college students pay for their education.
Chisholm has also published Investitude, a book that helps readers "learn how to build wealth, set and achieve financial goals and have financial success without working two or three jobs, etc." His book How to Make Your Past a Blessing to Your Future includes investing advice with topics about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate and more.
In addition to being a published author, Chisholm is an entrepreneur and the owner of Greenlight Books & Publishing. He is also the founder of Young Investors, Inc. YI's goal is to teach financial literacy, business acumen, urban economics and professional ethics to its participants.
