Association of Black Travel Professionals (ABTP)
Established in 2020, the Association of Black Travel Professionals (ABTP) aims to help Black professionals working in the travel industry advance in their careers. The overall objective of the ABTP is to highlight the impact black travel professionals bring to the travel industry. ABTP’s members can receive a training certification and network with other professionals.
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
According to their website, NABA, Inc. is the oldest and largest professional membership organization that caters to people of color working in business-related fields. Over 20,000 black professionals are NABA, Inc. members. NABA, Inc. provides several benefits, which include but aren’t limited to networking, opportunities to learn new skills, and access to NABA’s Annual Convention.
Association of Black Psychologists
Founded in San Francisco in 1968 by several black psychologists, the Association for Black Psychologists aims to address the issues faced by Black psychologists and the black community as a whole. The organization aims to facilitate a positive impact on the topic of mental health in the black community. With over 1,400 members, this black professional association’s goal is to use “planning, programs, services, training, and advocacy” to address mental health amongst the black community.
Blacks In Cybersecurity
Starting in 2018, Blacks In Cybersecurity was initially just a one-time event and meet-up group. Since its foundation, the organization now holds several meetings year-round and multiple meet-ups across the globe. Their mission is to “help highlight and elevate the Black community in Cybersecurity.”
