Whether you’re a college graduate who recently acquired an entry-level position or an established career professional on the verge of job burnout, it’s never too late to consider a mentor. A mentor can help provide the clarity and guidance you need to help you meet your career goals and address any aspects of your career that interfere with your personal life.

Kescha Wilson, a nuclear scientist, has mentored former FBI agents and law enforcement officers to achieve a manageable work-life balance.

Wilson is a former FBI Special Agent who “coached, mentored, and counseled high professionals through transformation and major life transitions” (Design Her Queendom).  Before allowing her job to consume her mentally and physically, she created a lifestyle that gave her more time with her family and the ability to work on her passions.

Wilson is the owner of Design Her Queendom, a company that aims to help professional businesswomen ditch the “molds” by helping them personalize their lifestyles to meet their needs and desires. Their mission is to “help reconnect the Queendom within so they can build the Queendom without.” Wilson offers workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and other special events.

She works with individual clients to help them reprioritize the things that matter most to them. For example, many women in high-level careers face various issues, like discrimination and job burnout, that can effect their mental well-being and lead to low job satisfaction.

Aside from her company, Wilson is also the author of the book, “The Power of Ease: A Blueprint For Women Leaders To Put Yourself First While Managing A Thriving Home Life And A Legacy-Driven Career.” The book aims to help career-driven women “rebuild a freedom-loving lifestyle.” In addition, readers can expect to learn about maintaining a healthy work-life balance, overcoming challenges, and maneuvering through life’s unexpected moments.

“I want to help resilient women leaders reprioritize themselves managing the demands of career and responsibilities of home,” Wilson told BlackNews.com. “While it is great to perform well, we must also learn to prioritize ourselves so that we can give our best to others.”
