Howard University Offering Free Graduate Exam Prep to Its Students
Two factors that can prevent students from taking graduate school entrance exams like the Graduate Record Examination) GRE and (Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) are pricing and lack test prep.
These rigorous tests are much more complicated than the ACT or SAT and require more practice and preparation to receive test scores necessary for graduate admission.
However, some students can’t afford or don’t know where to seek test prep assistance for these exams.
Fortunately, Howard University is taking the initiative to provide test prep courses for exams like GRE and GMAT.
Howard University is the latest HBCU to join Kaplan’s All Access program, a partnership that aims to help students prepare for the intensive admissions process for graduate schools. Other schools included in the initiative are Xavier University of Louisiana and Cleveland State University.
“Part of our mission at Howard University is ensuring that education is accessible to students, regardless of their economic status,” says Howard University Provost and Chief Academic Officer Anthony K. Wutoh. “Bringing Kaplan’s All Access initiative to Howard University will relieve the financial barrier many students are faced with when it comes to the critical step of preparing for graduate admissions tests and licensing exams.”
Howard’s partnership with Kaplan will offer the following services to students:
Free test prep courses for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT
Free test prep for professional licensing exams
